Safety Net First Aid
This workshop has been designed to enable other team members to have the confidence to assist certified First Aiders in the case of an emergency and/or offer initial first aid. Especially important if your official First Aider is off-site when emergency strikes. This is an ideal course for workplaces with a lot of staff or customers, such as supermarkets or factories – not everyone in your workplace needs to be trained in first aid, but the more staff who have the fundamental basics, the better the outcome of any medical emergency.
Attendees will learn how to react to the following: DRSABCD and AED usage “Primary Survey”, shock, choking, asthma, stroke, seizures, diabetic emergencies, severe allergic reaction (anaphylaxis), heart conditions, fractures, wounds & bleeding control, burns, sprains and strains. This will enable wider team members to work alongside your organisation’s qualified first aiders to assist and act as an extra ‘safety net’ if an emergency situation occurs.
The Safety Net First Aid workshop can cater for up to 20 participants (though 10–12 is ideal). Heart Saver will supply each participant with a certificate of participation. $500+GST per workshop.
