Managing Director


Mike is the founder of Heart Saver NZ and brings years of hands-on experience in the AED and emergency response space. He completed 28 years as a volunteer with the NZ Fire Service and is passionate about making life-saving equipment and training accessible to all New Zealanders. As Managing Director, Mike leads the team with a practical, people-first approach – and he’s always up for a challenge, regularly taking on marathons and endurance multisport events like Ironman and Coast to Coast.

Helen is Heart Saver’s organisational powerhouse. With more than 20 years’ experience in the corporate and pharmaceutical world — and as an Associate Chartered Accountant — she now wears many hats across finance, logistics, and marketing. Helen keeps the wheels turning and the whiteboards full (and colour-coded!). Friendly, down-to-earth, and always ready to help, she’s passionate about making sure things run smoothly for both the team and our customers.

After 10 years in the finance industry, Shannon went on to spend another decade in various sales roles within Auckland before becoming a stay-at-home mum for five years. We’re pleased to have her fabulous admin and customer service skills at Heart Saver, where she helps us in the office with ensuring our customer service is top-notch and generally keeping the boys in line!

Relationship Manager

Kevin has been involved in the sales environment since returning from overseas many (many) years ago. Sales roles have included Account Management through to National Sales Manager with his last position being a Business Development Manager - a role which he held for 14 years. Kevin places strong emphasis on customer service and the importance of building lasting professional relationships. Outside of his children and grandchildren Kevin likes to keep fit, have a game of golf or go out in the boat fishing when time allows.

Training & Testing Facilitator 

Mark comes to Heart Saver after 23 years on the road as a front-line paramedic. For the last 15 years, Mark has also been a volunteer at his local fire station as a firefighter and first responder. Mark has a passion for helping others and likes to share his knowledge, expertise and stories. His position at Heart Saver allows him to train and educate New Zealanders in First Aid and AED use, having personally seen the difference these skills can make in an emergency situation. In his spare time, he enjoys running to keep fit, hiking and spending time with his family.

Quentin Holmes

Testing Technician

At Heart Saver, Quentin is responsible for the annual performance verification of AED defibrillators, helping organisations ensure their lifesaving equipment remains compliant, reliable, and ready for use when needed. Quentin brings more than 40 years of experience in business development, customer relationship management, and client support. His career has spanned financial services, insurance, and business advisory roles, including several years with ACC New Zealand. Outside of work, you'll find him training for Ironman events, spending time on the water fishing, or enjoying time with family and friends. Quentin has also dedicated more than 16 years as a volunteer firefighter and first responder.

First Aid Training & Safety Monitor Coordinator

Staycee brings over a decade of admin experience and a strong focus on customer service to her role as First Aid Training and Safety Monitor Coordinator. Known for her positive attitude and efficiency, she ensures training and safety processes run smoothly while keeping everything well-organised and on track. She works closely with our trainers to coordinate sessions and provide support across the team. Outside of work, she enjoys family time and has a slight obsession with reality TV.

Scheduling Coordinator

Hannah brings a background in hospitality, administration, and healthcare, with previous roles at Eden Park and in medical reception. After time spent raising her family, she’s enjoying being back at work and part of the Heart Saver team. Based in West Auckland, Hannah loves the outdoors, good books, and time with her teenagers.

Robyn is a true Jane of all trades, bringing over a decade of customer service experience across pharmaceutical, jewellery retail, and facilities management. Known for her versatility and can-do attitude, she made the intentional move away from high-pressure management roles to prioritise life closer to home as a busy mum. Outside of work, she stays active with her dog, cat, and toddler - and when she finds a spare moment, you'll find her instructing pilates and dance fitness classes.

Jane has over 30 years of administration experience, including 10 years specialising in accounts administration. She has worked across both corporate and family-run businesses and is known for being adaptable, reliable, and always willing to take on new challenges. Outside of work, Jane enjoys gardening and spending time with friends, valuing balance, creativity, and connection.

Marketing Specialist

Emily brings 10 years of marketing, communications, and content experience — including roles across central government and leading NZ mental health and social services NGOs — to her work at Heart Saver. She's passionate about health and mental health, and loves knowing her work plays a part in keeping communities safer. Day to day, Emily covers everything from web copy, blogs, and social media to email marketing, graphic design, and overall marketing strategy. Outside of work, she loves to travel, write creatively, run, dance, and spend time in the water — whether that's snorkelling, swimming, or scuba diving.

Customer Engagement Specialist

Jhona brings over 17 years of experience in business development and client engagement, including building sales processes from the ground up and managing high-stakes delegate relationships for international summits. Her commitment to Heart Saver is personal — after losing both her mother and grandmother to heart attacks, she's passionate about making life-saving awareness and equipment accessible to others. When she's not in client-mode, Jhona is an aspiring chef, a proud "dog mum" to Winter and Oreo, and loves curling up with a good thriller film.

Support Services Administrator

LJ brings over a decade of experience in administration, operations support, and customer service to her role as Support Services Administrator. Known for her efficiency and positive approach, she helps keep things running smoothly while supporting the team to deliver a high standard of service. Outside of work, LJ is a self-confessed foodie who enjoys discovering great food and the joy it brings—something that reflects the warmth and positivity she brings to her role every day.

As our Administration Assistant, Poppy is dedicated to ensuring seamless operations within our business. With three years of customer-facing retail experience under her belt, Poppy brings a wealth of expertise in customer service to her role. Beyond her professional pursuits, she finds joy in travelling and cherishes the support of her friends and family. Poppy's passion for first aid and her innate desire to assist others drive her commitment to excellence in her work with Heart Saver.

Scott has been part of Heart Saver since day one and has grown up alongside the business, helping out in all sorts of roles over the years. As an Administration Assistant, he’s always keen to roll up his sleeves and help wherever needed, keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes. Being part of a family-founded business is something Scott really enjoys. Outside of work, he’s a big Formula One fan and follows the racing closely - spreadsheets by day, race stats by night.
